Global inequality has been increasing, with 1% of the world’s population holding nearly half of the global wealth. Goal 10 of the Sustainable Development Goals aims to ensure equal opportunities by enacting legislation and policies that sustainably improve living conditions for everyone. Special attention must be given to the most vulnerable countries, such as the least developed countries and small island developing states, particularly through directing financial flows to these regions.
